In record stores, you could usually find NDW filed under ambient or art-rock, ill-fitting labels if ever there were. Though they were often minimalist, they never made background music. Projects 2 is a truly beautiful collection of interesting pieces and songs that captures a kind of mysticism and wonder that I really don't hear nearly often enough. I especially love the ethereal beauty that is "Rainbows In My Desert" that paints images of serene desert spirits dancing across a vast horizon in my minds eye. All in all, I very much enjoyed listening to this album and I highly recommended it!

This is one more reason why I wish MFTCC would tour the states (I live in Pittsburgh). Some tracks, like "Weather Coast" sound even better live than in the studio. Fantastic playing and great songs. It's a pity my copy hasn't arrived yet (ordered it in Sept) but I'm still enjoying the digital download.
